FAQ

  • How does our company work?
    We clean. You relax. ​ ODReight Solutions is a cleaning company that focuses on quality. Our clients' satisfaction is extremely important therefore we pay attention to every detail. We work both with individual cleaners and teams, usually, there are a maximum of 2 people working in which case the total visit time you pay for is split between them (e.g. if you book a 4 hours total payable visit, a team of 2 cleaners will actually spend 2 hours on your property - each cleaner will work 2 hours, and you pay for the total time worked by each cleaner). We try our best always to send in the same team. There are a few things to keep in mind though. We are not an agency, we recruit, train and supervise our staff, we don't just subcontract your job to random cleaners. We work both with female and male cleaners, working together and individually and we cannot accommodate requests for only female cleaners. Our cleaners are experienced, trained to follow a working system and do not usually require supervision and guidance from the customer. We welcome any special requests you might have, but we would highly appreciate it if the cleaners are able to work at their own pace and manage their tasks as they see fit as that means they will be faster and more efficient. They are trained to do a full cleaning of the property if time allows it or they will prioritize tasks from one visit to another. They are also trained to look around and clean whatever needs cleaning. Although we aim to send in the same cleaners every time so you get used to them, we cannot guarantee that person will be with us for a certain period of time or that they will always be available. We are not an agency, but in this field of work people come and go and this is out of our control. Also, your regular cleaners might go on annual leave, be sick or just want a day off which will mean we have to send someone else in. We can guarantee that all cleaners will be vetted and trained to deliver the same quality and will be constantly supervised. We are a family-owned business and we keep a close eye on our staff. Our admin team are available to answer questions or solve any issues. You will also arrange everything with the management and nothing directly with the cleaners. In 90% of the cases of your regular cleaner being absent, we can send in a cleaner to cover the absence although we might have to reschedule your visit. We do both commercial and residential cleaning. Depending on the services you require we can provide you with a free, no obligation quote. Our cleaners are insured, vetted, and trained to deliver on our cleaning standards.
  • Where do we operate?
    We currently offer cleaning services in Cambridge and some of the surrounding areas as per the below map. Green Areas - covered for both regular and one-off services Yellow Areas* - covered only for one-off services *We will consider regular services in these areas as long as the customers is happy to pay an extra fuel charge per visit, this charge is to be agreed after the initial visit, once we make sure the customer is happy with our services and wished to continue with a regular service.
  • How much does a cleaning cost?
    The cost depends on your requirements, we offer hourly charged services both regular (at a rate of £17.5 +VAT / hour) and one-off (at a rate of £20 +VAT / hour). We also offer service charged options, depending on the level of cleaning you require and the size of your property. We can offer a bespoke, no obligation quote when you contact us with your requirements.
  • What is included in a clean?
    Our cleaners are trained to deliver the best quality service and cover as many areas as possible during an hourly based cleaning visit, whether that's regular or one-off. We do not usually require a list of tasks and we do prefer to work unsupervised and to be allowed to manage our time and our tasks as we see fit. We are more than happy to accomodate special requests as long as they are communicated in advance via email and they fall within our area of expertise. For the non-hourly based services: Standard Clean and Premium Clean, they all follow a specific cleaning checklist which you can find on our website under Domestic cleaning.
  • How do I make a booking?
    You can fill in our contact form online or you can email us at contact@odreight.co.uk with your requirements and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
  • When and how can I pay?
    For initial regular visits or one-off visits payment is only required after the visit is completed. In some cases, we reserve the right to request a 30% deposit in order to secure the booking. For regular visits, we're happy to accommodate payment after each visit for the first 1-4 visits, after that, once we make sure you are happy with the service, it is company policy that all regular clients are charged monthly with the same amount every month (similar to a monthly subscription service). Your monthly total is calculated according to the number of hours per visit and the frequency of the visits. You will receive invoices via email. Monthly invoices are set up and sent automatically on the first day of the month and you will have until the end of the month to make a payment. We offer multiple payment options, from cash to online payments using PayPal, but we prefer bank transfers (or standing order for regular services) as it's the quickest and cheapest option for both parties. If cash payment or bank transfer is not a good option for you and you will choose to pay online every time, there will be an extra charge of approximately 2.5% added to your invoices starting the 3rd month of service, which is to cover online payment fees.
  • Do you offer fixed arrival times for bookings?
    The arrival time must be flexible due to traffic and other factors. If your booking is, for example, at 10 am, although we aim to be there on time, we require the flexibility of up to 1 hour before and after the booking time, so you can expect our cleaners to be there anytime from 9 am to 11 am. During busy periods we might even require 2 hours before and after the booking time or you will be given an arrival time interval like 9 am - 12 pm. That's why we usually get a key from our clients, this way we have our flexibility and they have a hassle-free service. We are fully insured and can provide references and other documents on request.
  • Does someone need to be present?
    Whether or not you're at the premises during your cleaning visit is up to you! Although we recommend being at home for your cleaner's first visit to show them around, you can also add instructions when making your booking. If you have a concierge or can leave a key in a safe place, there's no need for you to be home. Or, feel free to stick around during the clean. Whatever you're most comfortable with is fine. ​ In any case, please don't forget about your booking as you will be charged a late cancellation fee of £30 +VAT.
  • Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?
    We provide all cleaning supplies (either professional or eco-friendly) and nearly all equipment required for cleaning your home, with a few exceptions. ​ We do not provide: Step stool; Toilet brush; In some areas we will not be able to provide a hoover and a mop and bucket, if that's your case you will be notified in advance; We are happy to use other cleaning items provided by you, and left out in clear view for our cleaning staff but they must be accompanied by directions on their use.
  • Do I need to pay extra for the cleaning supplies and equipment?
    No, we bring our own supplies and equipment at no extra cost.
  • Can I cancel my booking? Is there a cancellation fee?
    You can cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the time of the appointment and there will be no cancellation fee, otherwise we will charge a £30 +VAT late cancellation fee. In some cases, if you book a service with a higher value there will be a 30% deposit required to be paid upfront which will not be refunded should you cancel later that 24 hours before the booking time or the cleaners are not given access to the property.
  • Can I give specific instructions to the cleaners and ask for special requests?
    Yes, we try our best to accommodate any special requests that are within our area of expertise, you can mention them at the time of booking via email or you can leave a note for the cleaners, but please keep in mind that some special requests can be charged extra. If your request implies an extra cost you will be notified in advance.
  • Can I contact my cleaner directly?
    for regular services, it is not something we recommend or encourage as a company, we prefer to be in contact with the clients directly as any change in service or schedule has to be approved by our management team. That being said, we understand some exceptions might be needed where you might want to know when the cleaners will get to your place, in this case we are happy for you and your regular cleaner to exchange contact information. If you book a one off cleaning service unfortunately, you will not be able to contact your cleaner directly but you can always contact us.
  • Where can I rate my experience and provide feedback if I want to?
    After the clean is complete, you can rate your experience and provide feedback emailing us at contact@odreight.co.uk Additionally you can leave a review on Google for ODReight Cleaning Solutions. If you are not entirely happy with the experience please contact us first as we would appreciate to have the chance to make things right.
  • What if I just had renovation work done?
    We offer bespoke builders cleans quotes for these types of situations. Please contact us with your requirements and receive pricing information.
  • What won't my cleaner do?
    Our cleaner will always follow the cleaning checklist according to the type of clean you booked but can also follow some special requests. The cleaner won't do the following: Clean higher than arm's reach (2m high) Lift or move heavy furniture Clean external windows (available on request - please contact us for a quote) Wash dishes by hand (but we are happy to load up the dishwasher) Change bedding Ironing Exterior cleaning (patio, balcony, garden) Animal waste removal
  • Why should I get my workspace cleaned?
    It is not just about aesthetics. Countless studies have shown that people feel better in cleaner environments. Imagine a business premise that will have your clients feeling great about you, and your staff performing optimally, breathing cleaner air, and taking fewer sick days.
  • Do you clean during or after business hours?
    We clean during both. Our cleaning staff is able to clean day and night, depending on your preference. ​ Most of our commercial customers give us access to the premises for after-hours cleaning, so we can clean without disrupting your work. Our cleaning staff are insured and vetted, and ODReight Cleaning Solutions will coordinate all necessary documentation with your building manager.
  • Do we bring our own supplies and equipment for commercial spaces?
    Yes, all of our cleaners come outfitted with a full kit of cleaning supplies & equipment to bring on site. If you select ongoing service, we also provide heavy equipment such as vacuums, mops, dry mops, and squeegees.
  • Is there manager oversight?
    Absolutely. We take pride in on our quality control. Our Quality Control Manager typically joins the cleaners on their first clean, and follows up periodically, by email and in person, to make sure we consistently do a great job.
  • What is the ODR8 Guarantee?
    We usually get it right the first time but if not, we will make it right. If you’re not satisfied with your clean, you can request a free reclean.
  • How to request a reclean?
    Customers can request a reclean by email at contact@odreight.co.uk as long as the appointment was completed within the past 24 hours. The reclean appointment must be scheduled and completed within 72 hours of contact. ​ Please let us know where we fell short. Our admin team will respond promptly.
  • How many recleans can be booked using my ODR8 Guarantee benefit?
    There is no specific limit on how many recleans a customer can receive. We want to ensure fair use of the benefit and guarantee a great experience every time. With that said, we reserve the right to require additional time and budget for future cleans and/or void the guarantee for future cleans (if requested excessively).
  • What is and is not eligible for our ODR8 Guarantee?
    Appointments completed within the past 24 hours are eligible for our ODR8 Guarantee. ​ Not eligible: Appointments completed more than 24 hours ago Tasks not included on one off cleaning checklist Free cleans Recleans Homes not in standard condition (e.g. biohazards, hoarding, etc.) Extra services not booked for original appointment
